Bio
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I grew up with a passion for art and craft. I learned how to sew when I was young, and quickly decided I wanted design to be a integral part of my life. At Oregon State University I found a home working for the University Theatre Costume Shop. I studied Apparel Design and Visual Arts, focusing on technical construction, as well as color and print. After graduating from Oregon State with an Honors Bachelors of Science in Apparel Design, I went to get a MFA in the Fashion Design and Society Program at Parsons, in New York City. My work in this program focused on how to utilize making and performance to build and shape a community. Now while working in the fashion industry, I aspire to work with interdisciplinary designers and communities to solve problems concerning sustainability and social justice on a ground level.
